The Royal Oak is one of the most important and iconic watch designs from Gerald agents, who also designed the Nautilus. This reference 4100st we have on offer has a more modest size of almost 36mm compared to it’s bigger brother the ref. 5402. The 4100 still has plenty of wrist presence with the integrated bracelet and iconic case design and might even be the best choice for most wrists. The watch was produced in 1981 according to the extract of the archives and we bought it from the second owner. The watch was first sold in Madrid. The watch was never polished by the previous owners and is in great original condition. With some scratches that can be expected with a watch of this age. We preferred to not polish the scratches to maintain the honest original condition. This is a real collectors piece, with the original bracelet and even the original crown still fitted on the sharp angular 7mm thick stainless steel case.
This original grey dial has the classic petite tapisserie structure. The AP logo is applied at the 12 position. The dial and hands are all in original condition with beautifully aged tritium lume. The dial has Audemars Piguet and automatic printed on it. And is signed at the 6 position with SWISS.
The date display is also original with the correct “7”.
The ultra thin cal. 2123 automatic JLC based movement was recently inspected and is running accurate.
