This rare and vintage Patek Philippe Calatrava is the best preserved Vintage Patek we have ever had in our collection. The condition is just insane and this beauty comes as a complete set.
The rose gold watchcase is ‘only’ 33mm, but wears much larger because of the fluted and curved, by collectors called ‘teardrop’ lugs. These round shapes make the watch a typical design from this era. In terms of size, it has the look and feel of a +/- 36mm watch. It's fitted on a brand new brown crocodile strap from Patek supplier Camille Fournet. The strap is mounted to the original 18k rose gold PPCo buckle signed by Patek Philippe. To keep the watch complete, we also add the old Patek Philippe black croco strap within the package.
This vintage piece of art has a beautiful symmetrical salmon dial with applied gold Arabic and dagger numerals and the subsidiary seconds at 6. The gold ‘leave shaped’ hands make the picture complete.
This 70 year old watch has of course some small signs of use and is in overall fantastic condition. It breaths class and style and is of course perfectly finished. The manual wound Calibre 100-200 with 18 jewels and Breguet hairspring makes 19.800 beats per hour and is recently inspected by our watchmaker and it runs perfectly, keeping accurate time.
This Calatrava is produced in 1952, comes with the extract from the Patek Philippe archives and a Patek Philippe box. The Extract from the Archives confirms it’s originality of the movement, case material, caliber, reference and the sales date January 29th, 1953.
This vintage Patek Philippe Calatrava reference 2453 is a distinguished, complete and rare vintage Rose gold Patek in great condition, for a still relatively affordable price.

The warranty includes the functioning of the watch including the functioning of any present complications. Each watch is in properly working condition and is carefully checked and/or serviced by our professional team before shipment. Please keep in mind that vintage watches need to be treated with reasonable care by their owners.
Excluded from the warranty are: water damage, turn and push buttons, crystal, watch strap and clasp. Improper use or damage caused by the owner or third parties are not covered by our warranty.
All warranty claims must be directly reported to Timeless Vintage Watches. The warranty will be void if a third party worked on or opened the watch.
The warranty is non transferable and only valid to the original purchaser. With every claim the invoice or invoice number must be presented. Repairs without a valid invoice are also possible but will be made at your costs.
