Patek Philippe Calatrava “Cream Dial” ref. 1513

We offer a Vintage Patek Philippe Calatrava, which is a 35mm rose gold edition of reference 1513. A watch case with a 35mm diameter was huge for it’s time, but in this era is 35mm a distinguished and great unisex size. The 18k gold case with downturned lugs has some signs of use but is in very good condition. It breaths class and style and represents an interesting part of Patek history.

This Calatrava has the first in-house Patek movement “Calibre 12-120” which was launched in 1934. The rhodium plated movement has a swan neck micro-regulation, overcoil hairspring and lever escapement. The manual wind Calibre is recently serviced by our watchmaker and runs very good.

This vintage piece of art has a beautiful creamy colored and symmetrical dial with raised gold Arabic and dagger 3, 9 and 12 numerals and the subsidiary seconds at 6. The gold ‘leave shaped’ hands make the historic Patek Philippe vibe complete.

The example we offer is produced in 1951 and was sold on August 15th 1951. It comes with the old leather Patek box and extract from the Patek Philippe archives. It's fitted on a Bottle Green Square scale Molequin crocodile strap and gold plated buckle.
