Rolex Datejust ref. 16200

CONDITION

This clean Rolex Datejust with reference 16200 is in overall great condition and is produced in 2000. The in-house Rolex 3135 automatic movement is running perfectly, and was inspected by our watchmaker. The grey dial with roman numerals is in prestine condition. The brushing on the lugs is nice and even. The Rolex Oyster bracelet is the original bracelet for this watch with matching endlinks and clasp. It shows almost no signs of stretch and wear. The bezel is also in perfect condition.

A BIT OF HISTORY

Rolex created the flagship datejust in 1945, in celebration of the brands 40th Anniversary. It was the first self-winding wristwatch with a date window on the dial. Together with the Datejust, Rolex also created the iconic 5-piece Jubilee bracelet. On the 10th anniversary of the Datejust the magnifying lens - so called cyclop lens - was introduced. Since the introduction the Datejust has become one of the most popular watches from Rolex. The Datejust has all the characteristics a Rolex is known for. The iconic two-piece screw-down Oyster case was the first waterproof case for a wristwatch that was serially produced in 1926.
