This Rolex Day Date with reference 18028 is quite rare and collectible. Day Dates from this era are most often seen with a fluted bezel. The 36mm yellow gold case is in excellent condition. Sporting strong lugs and sharp edges. The hallmarks on the lugs are clearly visible.
The black dial looks awesome together with the yellow gold, it has a roman minute track and applied 18k yellow gold "stick" hour markers. The tritium on the hands and the dial is complete and original. The day is indicated in Italian.
The president bracelet is in good condition with only a little stretch, it has the desirable concealed logo clasp. The automatic movement with single quick set function was just fully serviced by our watchmaker.
History
The Day-Date was originally introduced by Rolex in 1956. Back than under reference 6510 and 6511. Since the introduction it has been highly successful and one of the most popular watches from the Rolex collection. It was designed as a luxury sports watch, exclusively made from precious metals. The Day-Date is simple and clean in design, practical and a very versatile watch.

Warranty

The warranty includes the functioning of the watch including the functioning of any present complications. Each watch is in properly working condition and is carefully checked and/or serviced by our professional team before shipment. Please keep in mind that vintage watches need to be treated with reasonable care by their owners.
Excluded from the warranty are: water damage, turn and push buttons, crystal, watch strap and clasp. Improper use or damage caused by the owner or third parties are not covered by our warranty.
All warranty claims must be directly reported to Timeless Vintage Watches. The warranty will be void if a third party worked on or opened the watch.
The warranty is non transferable and only valid to the original purchaser. With every claim the invoice or invoice number must be presented. Repairs without a valid invoice are also possible but will be made at your costs.
