Read moreThe chronograph from Rolex, the Daytona. A very popular watch among collectors. This model with reference 16520 was first introduced in 1988, it was the second-generation Daytona and the first to be powered with an automatic movement. The piece we have on offer here has the desirable "Patrizzi" dial. First discover by Osvaldo Patrizzi from Antiquorum in 2005. He noticed that some of the dials had discolored sub-dials. This is caused by the use of an organic varnish that we know now turns into a lovely light to dark brownish color. The Patrizzi dials are rare and sought after by collectors. Our example is a T series and dates back to 1996. It's a very nice piece with a strong and thick 40mm stainless steel oyster case. The bracelet is super tight almost like the day it left Rolex in 1996, of course with period correct clasp, code V. The dial is in perfect condition with very nicely aged yellow brownish sub-dials. The tritium on the dial perfectly matches the tritium on the hands.
The automatic Zenith based chronograph movement is serviced by our watchmaker and comes with 2 year warranty from us.
Furthermore this watch comes as a real nice collector set, with matching booklets, papers, purchase receipt, box and outer box with correct stickers.
