This fully serviced Rolex reference 1007 has a “no-nonsense” design and was produced in 1972.

The warm silver colored and beautiful patinated dial with stick hour markers and straight hands still contain the original creamy tritium (‘T SWISS T’ at 6 ‘o clock).

The dateless cousin of the Date and Datejust models is simply beautifully symmetrical, this gives the watch a nice and clean look. The watch comes on a high quality Green grained calf-leather strap from Molequin.

The condition of the elegant 34 mm steel watchcase is fantastic, it’s recently touched-up with remaining very sharp lines, real craftsmanship. The case number and reference number between the lugs are clearly legible.

The automatic Rolex 1570 caliber was fully serviced by our watchmaker and is running perfectly.

This now famous movement was something new back then, it had a hacking feature, a Breguet hairspring a beat frequency of 19,800 bph. It was used in the continuing series of Oyster Perpetuals, reference 5512 Submariner in and even the Explorer ref. 1016 until the end of its run in the late eighties.

Everything summarized: A distinguished vintage Rolex in great condition, for a still affordable price. It’s a great alternative to the Datejust that has recently peaked in price.
