Find the serial number on your watch (it’s located between the lugs at 6 o’clock, as seen on the picture). First you need to remove the bracelet or strap to see the serial number. You can easily do this with a spring bar tool or if you don’t have one even a bend paperclip will work. Don’t feel comfortable trying this? In most cases a local watchmaker or watchshop is willing to help you.

Sometimes the serial isn’t easily readable anymore due to extensive wear of the bracelet against the case, a loupe might help you in this case. From 2011 random serials are used by Rolex.
